Service Terms

Last updated July 27, 2026

These terms are a plain-language pre-purchase summary for consulting services offered by Bud Leiser through budleiser.com. A signed proposal, statement of work, or project agreement may add project-specific terms. If a project agreement conflicts with this page, the project agreement controls for that project.

Packages and scope

The price shown for a package covers only the deliverables listed on the consulting page. Additions, changed requirements, bespoke art, multiplayer, third-party fees, and additional platforms require a written quote or change order.

Timing and client responsibilities

Any published timeline is a target, not a guarantee. A Prototype Sprint's target schedule begins only after scope, required materials, start date, and feedback cadence are agreed. Delayed materials, feedback, approvals, access, or scope changes can move the schedule.

The client must have permission to share all submitted materials and must provide timely, accurate information needed for the work. Do not submit confidential files through the public form.

Payments, credits, and confirmation

PayPal handles checkout. PayPal may offer card checkout without an account, depending on eligibility. A return to budleiser.com after checkout does not by itself verify payment; Bud verifies the transaction before work begins.

The full paid Design Teardown fee credits toward a later Prototype Sprint. The full paid Prototype Sprint fee credits toward a later Full Build. The later engagement still requires an agreed written scope, and only amounts actually paid are credited.

The KONAMI bonus applies once per client to the first paid consulting call, adds 30 minutes, and is subject to scheduling. Mention KONAMI when booking.

Cancellation and refunds

Rights and project files

The signed project agreement identifies the deliverables, source files, and rights transferred to the client. Bud's pre-existing tools, reusable methods, and general know-how remain Bud's. Third-party, open-source, platform, stock, font, and similar materials remain subject to their existing licenses. AI-assisted material is identified and handled as stated in the project agreement.

No client work, name, logo, testimonial, or project details will be used in a public case study without separate written permission. A case study is optional and declining one does not change the booked price.

Confidentiality and NDAs

Bud is happy to review a reasonable NDA before confidential material is shared. An NDA is not accepted until it has been reviewed and signed. Bud cannot accept a non-compete or a term that broadly prevents work on games in general. The parties will agree on a transfer method before confidential files are sent.

No outcome or platform guarantee

Design and development services do not guarantee revenue, retention, funding, reviews, audience response, commercial success, or acceptance by an app store or other platform. Recommendations are professional judgment based on the agreed materials and scope.

Problems and non-waivable rights

If something is wrong, use the contact form promptly so the issue can be reviewed. Nothing on this page limits a right that cannot lawfully be limited. Project-specific liability, dispute, and governing-law terms belong in the signed project agreement.

Privacy

The Privacy Notice explains how form, newsletter, project-intake, and payment-related information is handled.
